About Me

There are three of us: Eric, Kayden and myself.

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Arizona when I was eleven. As soon as I crossed the Arizona border the Arizona sun swooped down and kissed me right on the cheek. The 120 degree weather embraced me and I'd never hated the heat more. It's hot here.

I met Eric working in an office several years ago. I was new and placed on his team. Right away we became friends and soon fell in love. Kayden was born in June of 2006 in Phoenix.

A few months after Kayden arrived, I found a photoblog online. The images were so inspiring that I went from blog to blog to blog poring over these photographers and their stunning work. "I want to learn how to take better pictures of Kayden" I told Eric.

So he bought me a dslr. Soon after that, my mother bought be Photoshop. Soon after that my friends started asking me to take pictures of their kids. And I'm not going to say the whole thing took off like crazy, becuase it didn't. My photography is still a small side business but I love setting and reaching new goals with it and hopefully can soon take it to a full time level.

So thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog - I will now leave you with my posts and ten useless facts about my family:

1. My photo above was taken in Africa. I talk about the trip every time I can because it's the only cool place I've traveled.

2. Eric knows how to fix computers and cars.

3. Kayden can sing the Superman Theme Song. Not that there are any lyrics, he just hums.

4. We have a dog named Kiwi. She's a wheat colored Shih Tzu and really rather dumb.

5. Eric has lived in Arizona his whole life and never plans to move anywhere else.

6. My favorite movie is Little Women. I think I've seen it a hundred times.

7. Eric hates having his picture taken. You can probably tell from the look he's giving me in the photo above.

8. I listen to musical theatre. Like, only. I don't know why, but I really can't get into any normal music.

9. We also have a purple fish that has no name

10. I prefer Pepsi to Coke

Thanks for your comment! I love your story about how you go started with photography! I don't have grand ambitions either...but hope to start up something small and just see what happens! For now, i'm focusing on finishing college and transitioning to the "real world"!
